Privacy policy

Workshown is a web design business run by a sole trader in Brisbane, Queensland. This policy explains what we collect through this website and what we do with it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you fill in a form or email us, we get what you send: usually your name, email address, business name, your current website and a short message about the project. We don't ask for anything else, and we never ask for payment details by email.

Why we collect it

• To reply to you, prepare a preview or quote, and do the work you hire us for.
• To send invoices and keep the business records the law requires.

We don't sell your details or add you to a mailing list. If we ever start a newsletter, you'll have to sign up for it yourself.

Services we use

This website is hosted by Vercel, and messages from the website form reach our inbox through Resend, an email delivery service. Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We only use providers that protect the data they hold for us.

Cookies

The site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics later, this page will say so first.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become a project are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for five years, which is how long the ATO asks businesses to keep them.

Seeing, changing or deleting your details

Email info@workshown.com and we'll reply within five business days. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, email us first. If we can't sort it out, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
